Within FORUM Family Office FORUM European Smallcaps follows an investment approach based on the principles of Value Investing as pioneered by Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffett. Our investment policy calls for few, concentrated bets and long holding periods. Our investment process puts an emphasis on gaining an edge over the market and traditional equity investors, primarily by networking and field research.

With this approach we have generated an IRR since inception in excess of 17% p.a. which puts us into the top 1% all European asset managers. We are looking for an MBA student to join us for 2-6 months doing an

Internship Value Investing

During your stay you will be fully integrated into our team and cover a region. Within that region you will cover the full investment process, i.e. screening, field research to gather data which are not in the public domain, financial calculations and discussions with managements. You also participate in all team discussions.

You should apply if you have demonstrated

a) Passion in your work. Whenever you do something you try to do it as well as possible and to push the limits because you love what you do. That is the “red thread” in your CV.

b) Independent thinking. That starts with smarts as demonstrated by academic records, but also requires a healthy dose of “positive autism” and street smarts.

c) Energy and ambition. We look for candidates which go the extra mile to get to a better, unique insight. In today´s age of the internet that must include the ability to like to meet people in person.

d) Investment experience. Lots of empirical evidence show that nearly all outstanding investors started their first investments when they were teens. It can be with little money and will certainly have been amateurish, but we would like to see it.

In addition to English you should be fluent in another European language. You do not have to be fluent in German as our office language is English, but you have to be committed to living in Munich in the long-run: we are offering this internship to fill permanent positions.
