To expand our research capacity we are opening a position as
Investment Analyst
Your tasks will be screening, idea generation, and in depth due diligence of promising candidates with a focus on external field research and monitoring of existing investments. This will require you to assess the quality of businesses using a strategic framework, assess management, and model the underlying economics of the business. You will then apply the principles of value investing to valuing it.
You have between 2 and 10 years of experience in equity investing, preferably with buy-side equity funds or private equity firms. Given our emphasis on understanding the underlying businesses, a FD or business developer of a small- or mid-cap company would fit nicely as well.
To join us and become successful you must share our passion for value investing; you must put a high value on being able to avoid institutional imperatives like short-term pressure and tracking bias, and should derive important rewards from working in a professional firm fostering contrarian attitudes and reflective thinking.
FORUM offers you the chance to work in a small international team with virtually no hierarchy and an attempt to foster a culture of professionalism and independence to learn the art and science of value investing.
